Kinesiotherapy in Truskavets: Movement Therapy
Scientific approaches, individualized programs, and modern equipment for effective rehabilitation
💪 What is kinesitherapy?
Kinesiotherapy (from Greek. kinesis movement, therapy — treatment) is a scientifically based method of treatment and rehabilitation using specially selected physical exercises. This approach is based on the principle that proper movement is the most effective way to restore the functions of the musculoskeletal system.
Unlike regular physical education, kinesiotherapy is conducted under the supervision of a physical therapist who develops individual program taking into account your diagnosis, health status, and physical capabilities.
🔬 Scientific evidence of effectiveness
According to NIH (National Institutes of Health) research: «"Kinesiotherapy is an effective method of treating chronic nonspecific back pain, significantly improving the functional status of patients and reducing pain by 40-60% compared to passive rehabilitation methods.".
Source: PMC6709610, "Effectiveness of physical therapy and exercise on pain and functional status", 2019
Research by Ukrainian scientists (Ternopil State Medical University, 2025) confirms that the application of kinesitherapy for gonarthrosis of the knee joint combined with PRP therapy increases the effectiveness of rehabilitation by 45-50% compared to monotherapy.
Types of kinesiotherapy at the Pechersky Clinic
Active kinesiotherapy
The patient performs exercises independently under the supervision of a physical therapist. Used in the later stages of rehabilitation to restore muscle strength and coordination.
Passive kinesiotherapy
The movements are performed by a physical therapist or with the help of special devices. It is applied in the early stages when the patient cannot move independently.
Active-passive
Combined approach: the patient performs movements with the therapist's assistance. An optimal option for the intermediate stage of rehabilitation.

How does a kinesiotherapy session work?
Initial consultation and diagnostics
A physical therapist conducts a detailed assessment of your condition: analyzing movement patterns, muscle strength, range of motion, painful areas, and functional limitations.
Custom Program Development
Based on the diagnosis, a personalized exercise program is created, taking into account your diagnosis, physical abilities, and rehabilitation goals.
Supervised exercise
You are performing exercises in a modern rehabilitation gym under the constant supervision of a physical therapist who corrects your technique and monitors your sensations.
Home exercise training
The therapist teaches you basic exercises that you can safely do at home on your own to maintain the results.
Monitoring and program correction
In each session, the program adapts to your progress. The therapist gradually increases the load and complicates the exercises.

Is kinesitherapy painful?
No! The principle of kinesiotherapy is to work without pain. Mild discomfort from muscle stretching is possible, but there should be no severe pain. The therapist constantly monitors your sensations and adjusts the load.
How many sessions are needed for results?
You will feel the first improvements after just 3-5 sessions: pain will decrease, mobility will improve. A lasting result is achieved after a course of 10-15 sessions. More time may be needed for chronic conditions.
Can it be combined with other methods?
Yes! Kinesiotherapy pairs wonderfully with therapeutic massage, manual therapy, Neurac on the Redcord system, and kinesiotaping. A comprehensive approach yields better results.
Is a doctor's referral needed?
A referral is not required, but is recommended. If you have recent MRIs or X-rays, bring them with you — this will help the therapist develop a more accurate program. In case of serious pathologies, consultation with a doctor is mandatory.
Are there any contraindications?
Absolute contraindications: acute infectious diseases, active oncology, severe cardiovascular diseases in the decompensation stage, bleeding. Relative contraindications are discussed individually with the therapist.
